Founder Associate — Strategy & Growth Operations

CEO office and growth engine room — investor materials, competitive analysis, outbound, attribution, and measurable growth experiments.

Full Time

What you'll do

You'll be the CEO's right hand and the growth team's engine room. Half your time is strategy — preparing investor materials, running competitive analysis, structuring decisions, coordinating across product, engineering, and growth. The other half is execution — running our outbound engine, building attribution models, experimenting with paid acquisition, and making sure every growth channel is measurable. This role exists because tracebloc is at the stage where the CEO can't do everything alone but doesn't need a COO. You're the person who can switch from drafting a board update in the morning to debugging an Apollo email sequence in the afternoon to analyzing which blog post actually drives signups by evening. You're analytical, strategic, and scrappy in equal measure. On the strategy side, you'll help Lukas (CEO) prepare for investor conversations, structure hiring decisions, prioritize which industries to target next, and think through pricing, partnerships, and positioning. You're not making these decisions alone — you're making sure the CEO has the analysis and structure to make them well. On the growth side, you'll own the cold outbound engine (~250 emails/week via Apollo), audience segmentation (deciding who gets builder messaging vs. industry messaging), paid ad experiments (LinkedIn, Google), SEO strategy, and growth analytics. You'll build the dashboards that tell the team which channels convert, which content drives signups, and where to double down. This is a role for someone who's done structured problem-solving at a high level — maybe at a top consultancy, maybe at a high-growth startup — and now wants to build something instead of advising on it.

What we're looking for

  • Top university + 1–3 years at a top-tier consultancy (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), a high-growth startup, or an investment bank — somewhere you learned to structure ambiguity and move fast
  • Analytical and quantitative — SQL, Python, or similar. You build models, not just slide decks.
  • Can run cold outbound at scale — Apollo sequences, LinkedIn outreach, email personalization. You don't think this is beneath you; you think it's where the pipeline comes from.
  • Strategic thinker — you can look at conversion data and say "we should stop targeting X and double down on Y"
  • Strong written and verbal communication — you can draft an investor update, write a cold email to a VP of Data Science, and present a competitive analysis to the team, all in the same day
  • Comfortable context-switching constantly — this is not a specialist role
  • Self-directed — you identify what needs doing before anyone asks

Nice to have

  • Experience with growth tools (Apollo, HubSpot, Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
  • Exposure to AI/ML topics — enough to have a credible conversation with a data scientist
  • German language skills
  • Experience at an early-stage startup (or a strong desire for it)
  • Understanding of SEO, paid acquisition, or marketing analytics

What we offer

  • The broadest role at tracebloc — you'll touch strategy, growth, operations, and investor relations
  • Optional equity participation in a company building a category nobody else owns
  • Direct daily work with the CEO — your analysis drives real decisions
  • Berlin office
  • A growth team to execute with — you're not doing everything solo, you're orchestrating and executing the hardest parts
  • The experience of building a GTM function from near-scratch — this is what people write about in MBA case studies

How to apply

  • Send us two things: (1) A one-page memo on how you'd prioritize tracebloc's growth channels for the next 90 days — assume you know nothing beyond what's on our website.
  • (2) A cold email you'd send to the Head of AI at a German pharma company to get a meeting.
  • Send both to careers@tracebloc.io.
